Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, expressed her gratitude to the homeowners who agreed to take in the affected residents of Kherson region under the Prykhystok (Shelter) programme. This was discussed on the National News Telethon.
The Deputy Prime Minister recalled that the Government’s programme had worked effectively in the first months of the full-scale war. Following the incident at the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, there was also a need for mass evacuation. Once again, the programme proved its effectiveness.
“Prykhystok works very well. Thanks to people’s concern, IDPs have the opportunity to live in decent conditions. And I am very grateful to the homeowners who have responded,” said Iryna Vereshchuk.
As a reminder, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine has been designated as the responsible implementer of the Prykhystok project.
