Assistance to Ukraine is a Western countries’ investment in their own security. This was stated by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, in an interview with the Italian TV channel RAI. According to her, over the year of full-scale war, Ukrainians have convincingly shown the world their ability and desire to defend their homeland.

According to the official, we are highly motivated because we love our land, we work on it, and it repays us for it. That is why we want to restore the borders of the State, which are recognized by international law. Western countries were not wrong to help us with this.

“Their leaders clearly realize what russia really is. By investing in Ukraine’s security, they are also helping themselves, their states, nations and peoples. Joseph Biden and other leaders of major powers clearly understand that this is an investment in the world order and a world that not only we need. Everyone needs it,” the Deputy Prime Minister summarized.
