Yesterday, a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Restoration of De-occupied Territories was held chaired by Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine. The participants focused on humanitarian demining and reconstruction of the liberated territories of Kherson region.
The situation in the region remains extremely difficult, but the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, together with the regional military administration, is engaging all possible agencies and services in these processes. This includes international donors. They will contribute to the restoration and mine risk education of the population.
Currently, the priority is critical infrastructure: gas, water and heat. Renewing their supply involves not only local utilities, but also other regions and international organisations.
“Partners should understand that people here live in extremely difficult conditions. Therefore, all possible resources should be used to restore normal life in the liberated areas. We must not just talk, but act!” the Deputy Prime Minister concluded.
