Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity: Memorandum signed to support veterans and their families

The Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine and the non-governmental organization “All-Ukrainian Association ‘Veterans Corps’” have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to support war veterans and their family members.

The document provides for joint efforts to enhance veterans’ social adaptation, disseminate information about available services and rights, conduct training events, and collaborate on solutions in the areas of social protection and employment.

During the meeting, the parties separately emphasized the need to bridge the communication gap between government programs and the people for whom they are designed.

“It is important for us to build a support system that is holistic, not fragmented. So that this policy is not just for a specific group, but for the people and families who have gone through the war and need support,” noted Denys Uliutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine.

In turn, Yan Klishaev, head of the NGO “Veteran Corps,” emphasized the importance of partnership between the state and the veteran community.

“Our task is to build a reliable bridge between veterans, society, and the state. We are ready to participate in policy-making and work together on solutions,” said Yan Klishaev.

The NGO “All-Ukrainian Association ‘Veteran Corps’” is a veterans’ public organization that works to support veterans and their families, develop regional veterans’ hubs, and strengthen cooperation between veterans, society, and the state. Today, the organization’s hubs are already active in a number of regions across Ukraine.
