Ihor Klymenko: Mobile units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs shall operate in frontline communities
To facilitate access to services in frontline communities, Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko has instructed regional authorities to organize the work of mobile units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Migration Service centers directly in communities, with strict adherence to safety rules for both employees and visitors.
In frontline communities in Kherson and Kharkiv regions, access to service centers and the Migration Service is often complicated. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko emphasizes that the mobile units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs work directly where they are most needed.
“During trips to Kherson and Kharkiv regions, people said that even getting ordinary documents was a real challenge because of the constant shelling,” Ihor Klymenko told.
To solve this problem, on the instructions of the Minister, regional heads of mobile groups of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Migration Service centers must actively work directly in communities, responding to requests from the population. According to Ihor Klymenko, the safety of employees and visitors must be a priority.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs' service units continue to operate where they are most needed, despite shelling and constant risk.
In two weeks, mobile service units made more than twenty rounds in Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, and Sumy regions. The result is as follows:
- 64 driver's licenses were issued/exchanged
- 75 cars were re-registered
- 13 vehicles destroyed by russian strikes were disposed of
- over a hundred applications for documents were processed
- 34 passports were issued.
“The work continues: the schedule of visits by the Migration Service and MIA service centers has been agreed with the heads of local communities for the coming month,” said Ihor Klymenko.
