Poland remains our close friend and reliable partner – cooperation at the level of interior ministries continues to develop. This was emphasised by Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko during an online meeting with Minister of the Interior and Administration of the Republic of Poland Tomasz Siemoniak.
There are always a lot of topics for discussion, as the agencies work closely together in many areas, Ihor Klymenko said on his official Telegram channel.
During the online meeting, the ministers discussed aspects of cooperation in the fight against organised crime, border protection, and strengthening the capacity of rescuers. Of course, the migration issue is a priority. Discussions also focused on the protection of Ukrainian citizens who have found refuge in Poland.
“We are grateful for the support programmes provided to our people. In our turn, both on the battlefield and in the rear, we are doing everything to ensure that they can return to their homeland in safe conditions as soon as possible. We have a number of issues that require in-depth study and solutions. We agreed to work on them within the framework of the established working group. I am grateful to Minister Siemoniak for a substantive conversation and unwavering support,” said Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko.
The dialogue between the interior ministries of Ukraine and Poland is ongoing.
