As part of the National Tripartite Socio-Economic Council, Minister Ihor Petrashko signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the implementation of the Decent Work Country Program for Ukraine for 2020-2024. Heinz Koller, ILO Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia, signed the document from the International Labor Organization (ILO).
The program contains three priorities:
- improved social dialogue;
- inclusive and productive employment;
- improved working conditions and social protection.
The Program will be managed by the ILO Office for Central and Eastern Europe (DWT/CO in Budapest) and the ILO National Coordinator in Ukraine. The Program will be supported by the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia and the technical units of the ILO headquarters in Geneva.
On commission of Minister Ihor Petrashko, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Oleksandr Romanyshyn took part in the event on the occasion of signing the Memorandum.
Background
The program is designed to support national priorities in accordance with the Sustainable Development Agenda until 2030, the Framework Partnership Program between the Government of Ukraine and the United Nations, the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union.
