For the period December 2019 and January-November 2020, the total amount of compensation for farmers who used the program "Partial compensation for the cost of agricultural machinery and equipment of domestic production (25%)" amounted to UAH 957.5 million.

"7,260 agricultural producers applied for this type of assistance, of which 5,180 are farms. A total of 14,946 units of agricultural machinery and equipment were purchased for a total of over UAH 3.8 billion. This is a vivid example of the effectiveness of the program, the agrarians and farmers benefit from," commented Minister Ihor Petrashko.

TOP-5 regions with the greatest demand for reimbursement of expenses for purchased equipment include Poltava, Zaporizhia and Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Kyiv.

The Minister added that thanks to this program, farmers can prepare for spring and autumn fieldwork, upgrade agricultural machinery and other equipment. It is important that the program focuses on domestic agricultural machinery because it stimulates the expansion of product positions and increase in the number of machine-building enterprises.

In addition, the program has economic efficiency and social significance for the development of regions. In particular, the program helps to create additional jobs, increase revenues to local budgets and attract investment in the Ukrainian agro-industrial complex.

As a reminder, on the official site of the Ministry of Economy https://bit.ly/3mtesPq an updated list of domestic machinery and equipment for the agro-industrial complex has been published, the cost of which is partially compensated at the expense of budget funds. The list includes 191 enterprises, the product range has been expanded to 14,573 units of agricultural machinery and equipment.
