During his business trip to France, Chairman of the State Property Fund Vitaliy Koval met with Deputy Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Yoshiki Takeuchi.
The parties discussed the areas of work of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. They paid attention to the corporate governance reform.
The Chairman told that currently the SPFU has more than 2,000 state-owned enterprises and it is important for them to create effective Supervisory Boards and build a clear management system.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the SPFU emphasised: "It is essential for us to strengthen the Fund's institutional capacity."
The OECD has a committee on public administration whose recommendations and expert assistance are extremely valuable for Ukraine. The Ministry of Economy has already begun implementing the principles of reforming state-owned companies, based on the experience of the organisation's member states. The State Property Fund continues this systematic work, striving to achieve maximum efficiency in the management of state assets.
