Government’s program for support families with many children that envisages payment of monthly financial assistance from April 1 is fully shaped and funded. This was announced by Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andrii Reva.

According to the decision of the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, programs of family and responsible fatherhood support are one of the priorities for the Ministry of Social Policy in 2019.

"Within the framework of the Government's initiatives, it is planned from April 1, 2019 to pay assistance to the third and each subsequent child until children reache the age of 6 years. The assistance amounts to UAH 1,700 UAH per month for each child. All large families will receive such assistance. According to our estimates, a sum worth UAH 2.4 billion will be allocated by the end of the year. Funds are laid in the budget and will be paid", Andrii Reva stressed.

The Minister emphasized that the government’s program Municipal Nanny is actively being implemented, which allows parents to hire a child care assistant and to receive budget compensation. Since the beginning of the program, 43 applications have been submitted.

Andrii Reva drew attention to the fact that the said programs are not the only social initiatives of the Government. The implementation of the "Children's and Youth-Friendly Community" program and the program of providing communities with specially-equipped vehicles for persons with disabilities are underway.
