Head of the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving Serhii Savchuk and representative of Chinese company Sumec Clean Energy International Сo., Ltd tackled opportunities of Ukrainian green market and opportunities for implementation of projects in this field.
The company specializes on establishment of clean energy objects and attraction of funding for its implementation.
Sumec Clean Energy International is also part of the large Chinese corporation SUMEC Group, which is a key member of the China National Engineering Corporation and is focusing on different fields including trade and services, engineering contracting, and investment and development.
The meeting became a step in the implementation of the Memorandum on cooperation between Ukraine and China in renewable energy concluded between the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving and the National Energy Administration of the People's Republic of China in December 2017.
During the meeting the parties considered legislative basis and possibilities for installing solar, wind power plants, biogas plants, biomass cogeneration plants in Ukraine, and also waste gas utilization plants.
A peculiar attention was paid to the conditions of implementation of projects under the "green" tariff in 2019, as well as in the framework of the auction system being planned after 2020.
Moreover, the sides agreed to work on potential green projects that are much-needed in Ukrainian regions, as well as possibility of attracting not only Chinese but also other foreign investors to its implementation.
