Government simplifies the process for medical workers in frontline regions to obtain service housing

The Government is streamlining the procedure for medical staff in frontline regions and rural areas to obtain service housing. Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced.

“Medical workers in frontline communities work every day under extremely difficult and dangerous conditions. I saw this for myself during a trip to Kherson. The Government’s task is to provide them with maximum support,” the Prime Minister noted. 

According to her, the state will purchase housing for medical workers at municipal hospitals in the Kherson region who have relocated from temporarily occupied territories. In addition, the requirements regarding length of service have been abolished. It will be possible to receive a government apartment or house regardless of how long a person has been working at the facility.

The Government has also expanded the service housing program to cities in the Mykolaiv region, including the regional capital, where the staff shortage remains acute.

The housing space standards have been aligned with the eOselia program. Last year, the Government already expanded the scope of this program to include medical professionals working in rural areas.

“We will continue to create appropriate working conditions for healthcare staff, especially in communities near the front lines. After all, this means stable access to medical care for thousands of people who live and work near the contact lines,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.
