Prime Minister called on parliamentarians to jointly implement a new stage of decentralization
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman called on MPs of Ukraine to unite and adopt the necessary legislative changes, first of all, to the Constitution of Ukraine, which would enshrine the successes of decentralization, its irreversibility and would allow a new stage of reform. The Head of Government said during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada, congratulating the parliamentarians on the Day of Local Government, which is marked today, December 7.
"What we have achieved in the decentralization reform deserves respect. We have already had the initial results. The reform has provided new opportunities for the millions of citizens. The territories in which the communities have amalgamated are elaborating their development strategies. And this is good news", said Volodymyr Groysman. "We have accomplished the objectives that we have faced since 2014. Now there is a new stage. It will last approximately 600 days. Let's fix the changes so that nobody could destroy them. I expect that we will be able to make the reform successful and irreversible in the current cadence of the Parliament."
