The current year has every reason to become the year of Ukraine's success, and today it is essential to move forward - through changes and reforms as well as through major overhaul of the country and restoration of social justice. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman noted during a speech in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
"We should demonstrate such an effective work so that in 2019 we would not be ashamed to look into people's eyes. We unite in tough times and make necessary decisions. This year we must attract investments, restore the village, continue decentralization, increase gas production, build new kilometers of roads. 2018 has grounds to be successful. I propose to go further," the Head of Government stressed.
Volodymyr Groysman emphasized the incumbent Cabinet of Ministers has given green light to many issues which are of paramount importance for people. "We began to restore social justice by changing the pension system. We embarked on retrofitting the education system and we opened an opportunity for creating a new health system. We kicked off restoration of the country and do its major overhaul. These two years were difficult, however we stood up. Government has undergone a certain historical stage, which can be called anti-crisis. Now we need a rapid economic growth, new jobs, a strong Ukraine that can defend its interests and restore territorial integrity", the Prime Minister claimed.
As the Head of Government stressed, at present Ukraine faces a choice whether to move further or to march backward due to populism and political disputes. "There is a year and a half before elections, thus we can eliminate risks of destabilizing the situation in the country. The problems are still abound. The biggest ones are debts. We did not take them, but it is our duty not to shift the burden on the shoulders o fcitizens , but to fill the budget. People have to feel their incomes are growing. We have to make a decision designed to ensure Ukraine’s success. We began to build roads and to form energy independence. We know what needs to be done in order to achieve success, this requires further consolidation", he underscored.
The Prime Minister thanked the lawmakers for their understanding and desire to support crucial steps designed to introduce changes in the country." I also want to thank ordinary citizens. I sincerely thank for your patience, wisdom, for your advice, for your attempts to make Ukraine successful. My heart and mind are together with the society ", the Head of Government underlined.
