Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman hopes that the existing pace of cooperation between the Government and the Parliament in approving the necessary socioeconomic and legal decisions will be preserved, and by the end of spring both officials and parliamentarians will be able to approve the elaborated package of changes in the economy and in the framework of the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU. The Head of Government said on air of one of the national TV channels.
"Out of a package of 35 economic bills that we were presenting together with the Parliament’s Speaker three have already been approved. In addition, certain decisions included in the package of bills to ensure the implementation of the Association Agreement with the European Union were adopted. Rather a good result. I believe that the Parliament will prolong taking decisions much needed for the people", the Prime Minister said.
Background
In February of 2018 the Prime Minister in synergy with VR Speaker introduced a package of 35 bills aimed to resolve five major economic challenges: to improve the business climate, to facilitate access to finance and investment, to promote innovation, to protect business, to ensure deregulation. Moreover, in February the Heads of Government and Parliament presented the Road Map of the legislative support of the implementation of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union for 2018-2019. The Roadmap represents a package of 57 draft laws covering such areas as security and defense, protection of intellectual property, removal of customs barriers and technical barriers to trade, sanitary and phytosanitary measures, improvement of the investment climate, protection of the environment, etc.
