Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman considers it critical to launch an additional train Kyiv-Mariupol within a month or two. The Head of Goverment said during a Government sitting commenting on the approval of the financial plan of the SE Ukrzaliznytsia.

"The launch of an additional train will take us up to two months", said Volodymyr Groysman.

The PM reminded that the issue of launching a train had been discussed during a special meeting in early July, as well as during negotiations with the President of Ukraine after his visit to Mariupol.

"We have reached a joint decision to launch the train. It's vital for people to get this railway communication", stressed Volodymyr Groysman.

    Background

July 1, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman commissioned the management of JSC Ukrzaliznytsia to work out an opportunity to organize an additional train in the direction of Mariupol within a month. All those measures will allow the improvement the communication between the regions of Ukraine and a large industrial center of the country.

"There are a number of major infrastructure issues that affect the quality of life of the residents of the region. We have embarked on the settlement of the accumulated problems - we engage in improving the water supply in Mariupol, we are building Mariupol – Zaporizhia route, financing other infrastructure objects. But there are other sectors that require additional attention - for instance, the railways. The operation of Mariupol-Kyiv train once in two days is inadmissible", the Head of Government noted at a meeting.
