  • Volodymyr Groysman urges to ensure the proper activity of the coal industry and kick off its modernization

    Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman commissioned the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine to ensure the stable operation of the coal industry by the end of the year, and starting from the next year to give a green light to active modernization of mines,  launch of new longwall face and  increase of coal production. The PM made this statement during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

    "We made a decision to allocate UAH 500 million to support the coal mines. At present, the issue at stake is the launch of the National Coal Company. The challenge is to stabilize the coal industry by the end of the year. And this is the responsibility of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry. Next year we will disburse a sum worth UAH 2.6 billion," the Prime Minister said.
