Prime Minister: The timely adoption of the State Budget is economic stability, automatic increase of pensions, industrial development

The timely adoption of the draft state budget for 2019 proposed by the Government allows to strengthen positive economic tendency, finance the increase of retirement payments both for military pensioners from January, and the remaining categories of retirees - from March, ensure the implementation of social and sectoral development  programs. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, while addressing the lawmakers.

According to him, the adoption of the budget is a personal responsibility of every MP. Moreover, the  minimum wage increase up to 4173 UAH as well as military pay increase up to 10 thousand UAH depend on lawmaker’s understanding of this responsibility.

"From January 1, it is necessary to recalculate pensions to military servicemen, and from March 1 to conduct massive revaluation of pensions to 12 million retirees of other categories. It is impossible to do it without an approved budget", Volodymyr Groysman stressed.

The PM recalled that provision of free medicines, free medical tests, extension of road construction, the launch of the Energy Efficiency Fund, and industry support  are preserved in the draft state budget. "This is the budget of stability and economic growth. I would ask to consider it (its approval) as a personal responsibility. Disapproval of the budget will lead to a severe crisis and depreciation of citizens' incomes. No one has the right to jeopardize stability. Especially amid conditions when in the east of the country aggressor  wants to reign a country... Ukraine needs to be strong. Let's make a decision aimed to ensure stability," Volodymyr Groysman underscored.
