The decentralization reform that triggered in 2014 is a key transformation that consolidates Ukraine and makes Ukrainian regions stronger, stressed Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman on air of one of the national TV channels.
The Head of Government reminded that back in 2014 he had come to work for the Government as a decentralization mastermind. Together with experts and city mayors, Government officials managed to work out the direction of changes and embark on their implementation.
"And now we see the result. Decentralization has provided people with impetus for change. The amalgamated communities engage in development of road infrastructure, construction of kindergardens, schools, modernization heating supply", emphasized Volodymyr Groysman. "Over 7 million people living in consolidated communities see the difference."
However, according to the Head of Government, someone intends to end these changes - through "playing dirty and backstabbing". "But I will not tolerate that. Decentralization is a core reform consolidating Ukraine. I will provide further leadership of this reform", summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
