Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman met with the staff of the National Police of Ukraine and presented the honorable service awards to officers.

"I want to thank for an important job you are doing in this hard time, in the process of transformations and changes. You are doing a decent job and, it has been three years since the establishment of the National Police, now I can say for sure the National Police has proved its effectiveness, the Head of Government claimed. - I place great hopes on further changes. We are kicking off a war on smuggling. We all have to remember one thing, when we will leave the post it is important what we leave behind".

The Prime Minister stressed that a joint work for the good of the country yields its results. Only the anti-smuggling initiative has made it possible to keep order at the border and to fill the state budget.

"Your core functions are security, order and filling the state budget. You have a great responsibility. There should be respect for law enforcement officers, which is a principled formula we should be guided for,  the Prime Minister said, while addressing the officers. - Now you have new weapons, security, and higher salaries. But all this should be even better. It depends on you how fast these changes will be. You can count on our Government, and Ukrainians have to rely on you".
