The share of the Belarusian petroleum products in the Ukrainian market makes up 40%. At the meeting of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Belarusian Joint Commission on Trade and Economic cooperation the issue of maximizing the attraction of water transport for the import of petroleum products and lubricants was discussed. This was stated by Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister/ Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Utilities of Ukraine.

 "The use of water transport instead of rail will allow to reduce the tariff for the transportation of petroleum products both through the territory of Ukraine and Belarus. And hence, it will allow to reduce fuel prices in Ukraine", Hennadii Zubko stressed.
