  • France stands ready to support Ukraine in implementing the decentralization reform, says Hennadii Zubko

    Ukraine is interested in stepping  up a dialogue with France on the implementation of the decentralization reform, which is a priority for the country. The small and medium businesses of France has already expressed its interest in working with the consolidated communities. This was announced by Vice Prime Minister/Minister for Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Hennadii Zubko air of TV channel 5.

    "The French business circles are interested in small sectors, first of all, the process of processing. They have modern technologies, opportunities and are ready to work in Ukraine with local self-governments", Hennadii Zubko stressed.

    The Vice Prime Minister noted that following the results of the seventh meeting of the Ukrainian-French Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation a road map for shaping mechanisms on reducing labor migration from Ukraine was worked out.

    "France is interested in human resources, but not in the labor migration of Ukrainians. The introduction of decentralization reform in Ukraine, the creation of high-quality infrastructure, the attraction of investments from France or other countries, new jobs and salary increases can be specific drivers for young Ukrainians to live and work, to create families and bring up their children here, in Ukraine", Hennadii Zubko stressed.
