In the coming days, several areas may fall into the "red" zone. Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced during a regular meeting of the Government on October 6.

"This means that cinemas, cafes, restaurants, gyms, theaters and other public places will be allowed to work only if 100% of employees and 100% of visitors are fully vaccinated. Businesses should check for appropriate vaccination certificates among their employees. And we ask entrepreneurs to take this responsibly," said the Prime Minister.

According to the Head of Government, police officers and other authorized bodies have the appropriate technical capabilities, thanks to which they will check the visitors for having COVID certificates.

Denys Shmyhal also noted that in the "red" quarantine zone, educational institutions will work offline only if 100% of employees have completed a full course of vaccination.

"Kindergartens and primary school of grades 1-4 will continue to work in the usual, in-person format," the Head of Government stressed.

The Prime Minister added that at the beginning of this week, almost 81% of school staff had been vaccinated with at least one dose. According to him, this allows most of such educational institutions to work in a normal regime in the "yellow" zone.
