For the third time, Ukraine has joined the annual Tallinn Digital Summit and announced the launch of Digital State UA, a platform that will unite all of Ukraine's GovTech, IT and Tech initiatives in the international arena.
The launch of Digital State UA is a new stage in the development of the digital state, covering Ukraine's key achievements:
GovTech: Diia ecosystem, which unites more than 21 million users, has become a symbol of digital breakthrough. Together with projects such as Diia.Business, Diia.Education, Diia.City, Ukraine demonstrates unique experience in public services.
IT: The Ukrainian IT sector is extremely innovative and competitive, and we have a lot to offer governments and other countries. Ukraine also has e-residency, CodeUA and Diia.City programmes in effect.
Tech: Ukraine creates favourable conditions for investment and development of global technology products.
"The Digital State UA is an important initiative for the Ukrainian tech sector, as we strive to open up our innovative approaches to the world and share our experience in launching digital products. Our goal is to attract investment, innovation, and partnerships for Ukrainian businesses. This is the next step on the way to establishing Ukraine as a leading digital state that inspires with its technology and readiness for change,’ said Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.
Ukraine has already asserted itself confidently on the international market. In recent years, the world has learned about Ukraine’s achievements in innovation and digital transformation.
"We need to join the efforts of all stakeholders to communicate our success story even more effectively at the international level. Digital State UA is an innovative platform that integrates key aspects of the Ukrainian digital ecosystem. It presents achievements in the fields of GovTech, IT and technology, showcasing unique cases such as the Diia app, innovations in defence technology and the creation of new business opportunities. This platform will not only be a showcase of Ukraine's successes, but also an effective tool for attracting investment in the IT and technology sector. It will facilitate the exchange of knowledge and practices that can be adapted by other countries seeking digital transformation," says Valeriia Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration, who represented the Ministry of Digital Transformation at the Summit.
The official launch of Digital State UA will take place in January 2025. This platform will create new prospects for international cooperation, attracting investors and jointly implementing innovations in the areas of GovTech, IT and advanced technologies.
The Digital State UA project is implemented by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and made possible by the Digital Transformation Activity with support from USAID and UK Dev.
