  • Volodymyr Groysman: State regulation of prices has always failed to give positive results for producers

The state price adjustment, including the purchase prices of milk from farm enterprises, has never yielded a positive result for producers. The government’s development programs which are aimed  at preserving and increasing the livestock to saturating the market with domestic agricultural products are the only instruments of support for producers. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

The Prime Minister recalled  that various programs, starting  from direct targeted assistance to the farmers to reduction of the cost of technology and the introduction of assistance in the construction of livestock breeding complexes, were introduced this year. The Head of Government urged to seize the opportunities, as they are an impetus and a guarantee for growth both for the agricultural sector and for the whole economy.
