The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in its work is guided solely by the interests of the state and its citizens, and this principle is encapsulated both in issues pertaining to the implementation of reforms, and to the cooperation with partners, including international financial organizations. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during A Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

He stressed that there are currently  several issues on the agenda, including the issue of setting a fair gas price in Ukraine. There is no easy solution to this question. And there are at least two issues that require attention. The issues at stake are social possibilities of the population and development of own gas production, which will allow to switch from the importing country of fuel to the exporting country.

"I also want to stress that from 2005 to 2013, Ukrainian governments have borrowed $ 50 billion. A part of this sum, which amounts to $ 5 billion should be paid back this year, and the remaining part - $ 35 billion next year. We need to borrow funds, to make refund. My goal is to pay off all debts Volodymyr Groysman said. - And gas prices can be set by ourselves when we switch from an importer to an exporter. We are going to become an exporter, and therefore, to reduce the gas price by 20-30%. And I want to emphasize: in my work I am guided by the interests of Ukrainians".
