The young Ukrainian generation is keen on gaining new knowledge and leadership skills and is capable to bring about changes within the country and to transform it from the post-Soviet republic to a developed and strong state. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman announced during the 11th Annual Youth Forum of Zavtra.UA and WorldWideStudies scholarship programmes.
According to the Head of the Government, such educational programmes are especially important and necessary in times of transformations and overcoming challenges which have not been faced before. The Prime Minister noted that personal leadership, at one time enabled him to come to power at a relatively young age - 28 years and to become a major of a big city, which had its own accumulated problems and difficulties over the years.
"Today we have two options either to build a powerful country or to choose other country of residence. But one can miss a great chance, the Head of Government said. Indeed, we need new knowledge, new technologies. According to economic criteria, we are still a post-Soviet country. The leadership of the youth brings something, gives new impetus and strengthens country’s potential".
Apart from that, he stressed that despite the need for changes in the social, medicine, education spheres as well as in building a new energy policy, citizens can be proud of being an innovative country.
The Prime Minister emphasized that Ukraine can become a production hub of innovative products.
Moreover, there also exists a possibility of constructing a social elevator, which will allow young people to come to work in the state authorities. "We are on the track of these changes and young leaders must be engaged in this process," Volodymyr Groysman stressed. While addressing the youth, he added: "Today, here in the front rows of delegates we have powerful men who have reached the heights due to their intelligence and leadership. I wish you to sit always in the first row. "
