Throughout 2020, two government projects were implemented through employment centers to provide financial support to businesses for the period of quarantine restrictions. Due to the assistance received, employers managed to save more than 500,000 jobs.

Thus, starting from April 2020, there was in effect a program to provide partial unemployment benefits for small or medium-sized businesses and sole proprietors who are insured persons. Such assistance allowed to cover the cost of wages in case of curtailing or stoppage of production due to quarantine.

Moreover, from December 12 until the end of the year, there was valid one more program to provide one-time financial assistance to businesses to make payments to employees for the period of restrictive anti-epidemic measures.
