Supporting Ukrainian agricultural producers remains a key priority of state agrarian policy. In May 2025, the Ukrainian State Farm Support Fund allocated a second tranche of state aid amounting to UAH 361.7 million. These funds were received by 5,560 farming households and other agricultural producers. This was announced by Vitalii Koval, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.

“The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food continues its systematic efforts to ensure the sustainable development of Ukrainian villages, support farming, and guarantee the country’s food security. We must all focus and collaborate to help our farmers, as they are the foundation of Ukraine’s food security and economy. Therefore, we are working to ensure that state programmes provide maximum support to the real sector,” emphasised Vitalii Koval.

As of mid-May 2025, the funds were distributed as follows:

  • UAH 316.9 million – as a budget subsidy per unit of cultivated agricultural land (1 hectare) for 4,139 applicants engaged in agricultural activities;
  • UAH 44.8 million – as a special budget grant for maintaining dairy and beef cattle for 1,421 recipients.

The support is provided within the framework of the Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency (ARISE) Project for Ukraine, implemented with state budget funds in accordance with the Government-approved procedure for their use.
