Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal got acquainted with the organization of the treatment process in the underground department of the Kherson City Perinatal Center.

The Head of Government noted that this Center is an example of the resilience of Ukrainian medicine, where they continue to save lives despite the danger and constant shelling.

“At the expense of the government subvention, the reconstruction of the dual-purpose shelter was completed, where a comprehensive maternity unit is now operating,” said Denys Shmyhal.

Denys Shmyhal said that more than UAH 104 million had been allocated for the project. The facility also has the necessary backup power sources: generators, fuel stocks, and solar panels, which can be installed quickly if necessary. Preparations are currently underway for the autumn and winter period.

"People's safety is our overarching priority. We continue to create conditions under which medical services remain accessible and safe in the frontline regions," the Prime Minister emphasized.
