A regular meeting of the Energy Crisis Management Headquarters was held under the chairmanship of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

The key topic on the agenda was preparations for the 2026/2027 heating season.

The meeting participants adopted a decision to reorganize the Headquarters’ working groups, identifying the following six priority areas:

• a repair campaign and the restoration of power plant operations;

• the construction of protective structures at facilities within the power sector;

• restoration of generating facilities and grid equipment at the Kyiv energy hub;

• securing humanitarian aid from partners for the development of energy hubs;

• development of cogeneration;

• monitoring the implementation of the Headquarters’ decisions.

The relevant working groups were set clear objectives and plans for their implementation.

During the meeting, repair schedules and the current state of infrastructure at generation facilities were also analyzed in detail.

“The task for all relevant services and agencies is clear: to do everything necessary to restore equipment and capacity as quickly as possible wherever technically feasible. It is important to ensure maximum resilience, in particular by utilizing decentralization tools and installing additional capacity, including cogeneration,” emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
