  • Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Bulgaria discuss defence needs of Ukraine

    On Tuesday, 7 May, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of Bulgaria Dimitar Glavchev had a conversation.

    The Head of Ukrainian Government congratulated his Bulgarian counterpart on the appointment and thanked him for his personal efforts to support Ukraine.

    The parties discussed Ukraine’s military needs, including artillery, shells, air defence systems and other important items that would help Ukrainian soldiers achieve victory.

    In this context, the officials spoke about the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine and the Peace Summit in Switzerland.

    “Bulgaria’s voice is important to us. We are also counting on the participation of Bulgarian businesses in the Recovery Conference in Berlin,” said Denys Shmyhal.

    The Prime Minister of Ukraine thanked Bulgaria for its support of Ukraine’s integration into the EU and NATO.

    In return, Dimitar Glavchev assured that Bulgaria would continue to support Ukraine.
