In Ukraine, the construction of roads, bridges, and the development of railway infrastructure continues at an active pace. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government session. Meanwhile, according to him, river transportation remains a promising direction for Ukraine.
In order for Ukraine to be able to more actively develop river infrastructure, the Government has included the River Ports Administration in the list of recipients of budget funds provided for further implementation of Ukraine's transport strategy.
"This will allow taking measures to modernize hydraulic, berthing facilities and other important measures," said Denis Shmygal.
According to the Prime Minister, the system of inland water transport of Ukraine has a huge logistical potential, as it will significantly reduce the load on roads and railways.
