The Prime Minister congratulated the construction workers on the occasion of the Builder's Day and presented them with diplomas and certificates of gratitude. The solemn meeting took place on Thursday, August 6, with the participation of Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov, Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Kryklii, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development and Urban Planning Andrii Klochko and representatives of the construction industry.

The Prime Minister stressed the importance of the construction industry for the development of the Ukrainian economy: "The development of construction means tens of thousands of new jobs and the development of related industries, such as industrial production, logistics and finance. Due to the efforts of builders and the investments they make in economic stability, Ukraine is now easier to pass through crisis."

Denys Shmyhal thanked the builders for their initiative in reforming the industry and for the fact that in the times of trials they continue to build up Ukraine.

In his statement, Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Chernyshov reminded that on August 5, the Government had approved a new State Regional Development Strategy for 2021-2027.

"The Strategy should create conditions for human life and development regardless of place of residence. And it is to achieve high living standards without providing affordable socio-economic, medical and housing infrastructure and quality roads. This is the result of the work of hundreds of thousands of professionals in the construction and related industries," stressed Oleksii Chernyshov.
