Ukraine can feel the highest level of support in the political, security and economic spheres. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a Government meeting on February 9.
"Our partners have already directed military defense aid to Ukraine to the tune of approximately USD 1.5 billion. A number of other countries are considering providing military and financial assistance to Ukraine. On behalf of the entire Government, I would like to thank my international partners once again for their significant contribution to strengthening the defense capabilities of our country," stressed Denys Shmyhal.
According to the Prime Minister, due to the consolidated work of the President of Ukraine, the Government and Ukrainian diplomats in the international arena, important agreements have been reached that will have a significant economic effect on our country. In particular, the PM reminded of the conclusion of a Free Trade Agreement with Turkey, which will ensure a new level of economic relations between the two countries and create new opportunities for Ukrainian business.
"We also received information from our French colleagues about providing EUR 1.2 billion of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine," the Gead of government told.
The Presidents of Turkey and France, the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Poland visited Ukraine during last week and the current week, as well as Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Austria, Spain, Slovakia, Germany, France and the Czech Republic, delegations of the European Parliament and parliaments of other European Union member countries.
