Vaccination remains one of the main ways to control COVID-19. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a visit to the vaccination center in the city of Novodnistrovsk, Chernivtsi region.
"The health of Ukrainians is a priority for the Government and the President, so it is essential to increase the immunization rate. To this end, Ukraine has all the necessary infrastructure and the required number of safe vaccines. This allows anyone who wants to get vaccinated. The more people are vaccinated, the lower the probability of introducing intensified quarantine restrictions in a particular area or town," said Denys Shmyhal.
In addition, the Head of Government stressed the importance of vaccinating educational teams for the safe conduct of the educational process. Denys Shmyhal reminded that in those areas where a yellow, orange or red level of epidemic danger can be established, vaccination of at least 80% of the educational staff is a necessary condition for the work of educational institutions.
The Head of Government was informed that the rate of vaccination in the region is gradually increasing, including due to a sufficient number of vaccines. In particular, more than 70 vaccination points were opened in the region in response to the Government's instructions. In total, more than 128,000 vaccinations have already been given in the region, of which 82,500 people received the first dose and 46,000 people received the second dose.
