The subsidy has already been reassigned to 2 million people, of whom 1.7 million did not apply but got them reassigned automatically. This was stated by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during the Question Time for the Government at the Verkhovna Rada.

The Prime Minister reminded that according to the new criteria for assigning subsidies, people having significant shadow incomes and wealth should not receive subsidies, because they do not really belong to vulnerable groups.

"Subsidies will be automatically prolonged for the vast majority of our citizens, including Ukrainian pensioners. That is, no additional documents need to be submitted. All checks and payments are carried out exactly on schedule. Everyone who really needs support will receive it now and during the heating season," the Prime Minister stressed.

The Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Social Policy had already directed UAH 1.1 billion to the regions to pay subsidies.
