The Action Plan for implementation of the Open Government Partnership initiative in 2018-2020 will be carried out in synergy with the public. This was emphasized by Deputy State Secretary of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Serhii Dehtyarenko on February 4 at the presentation of the "Open Government Partnership initiative": A new Action Plan for the Government and the public".
"The Action Plan was shaped together with the civil society institutions and was opened for public discussion. The success of the plan implementation also depends on all stakeholders. Therefore, I urge the public activists to actively engage in the implementation of the action plan, exchange ideas with their partners from the state authorities and demand from them fulfillment of their obligations," Serhii Dehtyarenko stressed.
He emphasized that the Government, having already approved the fourth action plan for the implementation of open government reforms, once again confirmed its commitment to the democratic standards and values of the Initiative.
According to the Deputy Secretary, the creation within the framework of the implementation of the previous ProZorro public procurement plans and public procurement control system DoZorro as well as opening of access to the archives of the communist regime have become a blueprint for other countries which implement the said reforms.
Moreover, Serhii Dehtyarenko emphasized that Ukraine's progress in implementation of open data and disclosure of beneficial ownership was also acknowledged during the Open Government Partnership Global Summit in Tbilisi.
