COVID-19 vaccination centers will operate in regions where a red level of epidemic danger has been fixed.

Changes that will allow vaccination centers to operate at the red level were introduced in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers №1236 during the Government session on October 20.

"We never tire of convincing: only immunization can save a person from death and severe development of coronavirus disease. I advise residents of those areas that are considered the yellow level, do not wait for the quarantine to intensify, and then wait in line for vaccinations. We have to do 1.5 million vaccinations a week. The regions where the red level has been set are already proving that as soon as the epidemic measures were intensified, the number of people willing to vaccinate increased sharply. Therefore, please, do not neglect your life and health, think about your loved ones, protect not only yourself but also your relatives from the risk of losing the fight against coronavirus disease," said Minister of Health Viktor Liashko.

Currently, five regions are considered at the red level of epidemic danger. These are Kherson, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk and Odesa regions.

Since the introduction of strict anti-epidemic restrictions there, the number of vaccinations in these regions has doubled.

A total of 14,865,911 vaccinations were carried out during the immunization campaign. The record number of vaccinations was on October 19 - 226,587, of which 142,141 citizen received the first dose of the vaccine.
