The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxym Stepanov considers the fight against coronavirus and the completion of a medical reform as priorities in his activity. The newly appointed Minister announced on March 31, during his acquaintance with the staff of the Ministry.
“There is a lot of work ahead. The first priority is the fight against coronavirus. I do not want to blame anyone, but there is a certain delay in terms of preparation for the pandemic. We can no longer afford to waste time. Therefore, it is crucial now to communicate with local healthcare providers. The second priority is medical reform. I believe that it is quite possible to make changes so that both patients and doctors of all levels are satisfied with the reform,” Maxym Stepanov emphasized.
As a reminder the day before for the appointment of Maxym Stepanov as the Minister of Health, 246 people's deputies voted. Today, the previous Minister of Health Ilya Yemets familiarized a new Minister with the course of affairs, while the Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchynov officially introduced Maxym Stepanov to the staff of the Ministry of Health.
