Some 9,000 internally displaced families receive funds from the state to purchase solid fuel

In autumn, the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity launched a new support programme for residents of frontline territories and families comprising internally displaced persons living throughout Ukraine – payments from the state budget for the purchase of solid domestic fuel.

IDPs who are eligible for benefits or housing subsidies for the purchase of solid fuel and who have not received funds for fuel from international organisations, particularly in frontline territories, are eligible for assistance.

Currently, the Pension Fund of Ukraine has allocated UAH 78.9 million from the state budget for cash payments to almost 9,000 people.

Targeted assistance for the purchase of solid fuel is provided to help citizens who need additional support to get through the heating season.
