More than 200,000 food packages were delivered to war victims under the Million Food Packages program
The Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Maryna Lazebna said that the fifth part of the Million Food Packages program has been completed. 211,477 nutrition packages were sent to people.
The long-term shelf life products under the program were directed to people from vulnerable categories in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kyiv and Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv and Chernihiv regions.
The Million Food Packages program is implemented at the initiative and under coordination of the Ministry of Social Policy and the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, in cooperation with the Ivan Tchaikovsky Pokrova Charitable Foundation, which provides food packages on a free basis, as well as with food producers, businesses and people who joined the initiative to provide food kits to victims of war-torn areas.
People from the most vulnerable categories receive foodstaffs. First of all, deliveries take place in the areas most affected by the war. Regional social services ensure the collection of needs and delivery of products to recipients.
