At present, according to aerial observation, there is no open fire. There are two AN-32P planes and a Mi-8 helicopter of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are involved in the liquidation of the fire, there is no threat to settlements. This was announced by Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov during a visit to the Gorobivka village in Kharkiv region, which was most affected by the fire. Together with the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Minister of Social Policy Maryna Lazebna and head of the Kharkiv Regional Administration Oleksiy Kucher are working on the spot.
"The fire had spread so quickly due to significant wind gusts - more than 15 m / s. There were no mineralized areas around the settlements located in the forest. At this time, 22 households were affected by the fire, 33 people were forced to leave their homes," the Interior Minister said.
According to Arsen Avakov, a meeting of a special commission will be held today, at which a decision will be made on material compensation for people whose farms were affected by the fire.
"The owners of completely destroyed houses will receive the maximum compensation - about UAH 300,000. People who have suffered less will receive lower compensation. A special commission will work on the spot to assess the consequences of the fire," the Minister of Internal Affairs said.
Arsen Avakov noted that if the identification documents are burned, a list should be provided and a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs together with a representative of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration will help restore them.
The police opened a criminal case under article 270 (Violation of the requirements of fire safety established by the legislation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
It should be recalled that today the Minister of Internal Affairs urgently flew to Kharkiv region where large-scale fires occurred.
