U.S. President Donald Trump and his Administration consider security issues in Ukraine and support for the reforms launched by the Government of Ukraine urgent issues on the agenda. This was stated by Deputy Secretary of State John J. Sullivan during a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman. The meeting took place on the eve of the Second Ukraine Reform Conference, as part of the working visit of the Head of Government to the Kingdom of Denmark.

"We pay great attention to your state. President Trump's Administration believes Ukraine's support along the way towards its prosperity is an urgent matter", stressed John J. Sullivan.

"This day should be rather eventful, and we have an excellent opportunity to discuss bilateral cooperation both in the political and economic planes. The support for reforms and solving security issues shall contribute to our overall success", said Volodymyr Groysman.

During the conversation, the parties, in particular, touched upon issues of investment cooperation and energy cooperation in the context of counteracting the construction of the pipeline Nord Stream 2 and ensuring the smooth transit of fuel via the Ukrainian GTS facities. "We are partners, we stand ready to communicate and take decisions in the interests of Ukraine and our international partners", summed up Volodymyr Groysman.
