
Update on the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection
According to the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as of 9:00 a.m. on May 6, in Ukraine there have been confirmed 13,184 COVID-19 cases, 327 patients died, 2,097 patients recovered. During the 24 hours, 487 new cases have been confirmed.
As of May 5, coronavirus disease was registered:
Vinnytsia region - 472 cases;
Volyn region - 359 cases;
Dnipropetrovsk region - 568 cases;
Donetsk region - 85 cases;
Zhytomyr region - 456 cases;
Zakarpattia region - 572 cases;
Zaporizhia region - 298 cases;
Ivano-Frankivsk region – 1,037 cases;
Kirovograd region - 402 cases;
Kyiv – 1,651 cases;
Kyiv region - 891 cases;
Lviv region - 553 cases;
Luhansk region - 42 cases;
Mykolaiv region - 165 cases;
Odesa region - 505 cases;
Poltava region - 232 cases;
Rivne region - 787 cases;
Sumy region - 130 cases;
Ternopil region - 935 cases;
Kharkiv region - 403 cases;
Kherson region – 143 cases;
Khmelnytsky region - 134 cases;
Chernivtsi region – 1,985 cases;
Cherkasy region - 314 cases;
Chernihiv region - 65 cases.
Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk regions and the city of Sevastopol are not available.
The studies were conducted by the Virology Reference Laboratory of the Public Health Center of Ukraine, as well as by regional laboratories. As of the morning of May 6, 2020, the Center received 1,411 reports of suspected COVID-19 cases. Since the beginning of 2020, 34,722 COVID-19 suspicions have been received.
