Since the beginning of the year, 11,648 agricultural enterprises have received UAH 89.9 billion in bank loans for development. Of these, 7,616 farms received UAH 39.4 billion under the Government’s Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme.

Under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme, the largest amount of loans was provided to businesses in the following regions:

• Kyiv region – UAH 4.9 billion (737 agricultural enterprises);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 3.3 billion (773);
• Odesa region – UAH 3.3 billion (706);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 3 billion (969);
• Kharkiv region – UAH 2.9 billion (447);
• Volyn region – UAH 2.3 billion (405);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 2.3 billion (490);
• Lviv region – UAH 2.3 billion (535).

Farmers in the following regions received the largest amount of loans under various programmes:

• Kyiv region – UAH 20.1 billion (1,121 agricultural enterprises);
• Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 6.3 billion (844);
• Kirovohrad region – UAH 6.0 billion (1,389);
• Vinnytsia region – UAH 5.7 billion (1,145);
• Cherkasy region – UAH 5.6 billion (477);
• Odesa region – UAH 5.2 billion (1,010);
• Lviv region – UAH 5.1 billion (750);
• Ternopil region – UAH 5 billion (444).

Background

Concessional financing for agricultural producers under the Affordable Loans at 5-7-9 programme in 2024-2025 is made possible by the World Bank’s support under the Ukraine Agriculture Recovery Inclusive Support Emergency (ARISE) project. The programme facilitates access to bank lending for micro and small businesses. Farmers can receive a loan of up to UAH 90 million. Loans are granted at 5-9% per annum, depending on the loan category and business entity.
