“Ukraine is grateful to partners supporting Ukraine in its fighting for independence and transformation and development of the Ukrainian army”, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General of the Army of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko stressed.

“In 2017, we continued the process of transformation and development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine regardless all geopolitical events. We have been receiving comprehensive support from our partners”, Gen. Muzhenko said.

He reminded that, in January 2018, he participated in the sessions of the NATO Military Committee held in Brussels. At one of the sessions he briefed the audience on situation in east of Ukraine in 2017, reforms and development of the Ukrainian army.

General Muzhenko thanked representatives of countries supporting Ukraine for political support and practical assistance and awarded Canada, US and Germany defence attachés for their contribution to the process of transformation of the Ukrainian army and military cooperation in 2017.
