The 148th session of the Working Party on Customs Questions affecting Transport of the Inland Transport Committee of the Economic Commission for Europe takes place in Geneva
On February 6-9, 2018 the 148th session of the Working
Party on Customs Questions affecting Transport of the Inland
Transport Committee of the Economic
Commission for Europe (UNECE) is taking place in
Geneva.
Participants of the session are discussing
the today's status of various
international legal instruments in the area of
transport and international trade, including the Customs
Convention on the International Transport of Goods
under Cover of TIR Carnets (TIR Convention, 1975), the International Convention on the Harmonization
of Frontier Controls of Goods
of 1982 and the International Convention to Facilitate
the Crossing of Frontiers for
Passengers and Baggage carried by Rail of
1952, as well as proposals concerning
amendments to them.
During the today's
Working Party meeting the representative
from Ukraine Mr. O.Fedorov has
been elected as its Vice-Chair for the year
2018.
The experts of
the Secretariat of the Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine,
the Association of International Road Carriers of
Ukraine as well as the
members of the Permanent Mission
of Ukraine in Geneva participate
in the 148th session of the
Working Party.
