StateGeoCadastre deprived of absolute power in decision making on matters of land management
The Cabinet of
Ministers of Ukraine has approved
an order that deprives the
offices of the State Service
of Ukraine for Geodesy, Cartography
and Cadastre (StateGeoCadastre) to take decisions single-handedly on issues pertaining
to the management
of the land
located outside settlements without the consent of
the united territorial communities. The decision was
adopted on the initiative of Prime Minister
of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman.
"Starting from
tomorrow, none of the offices
of StateGeoCadastre will have the
right to approve decisions unilaterally", the Prime Minister claimed.
Background
At the end
of January, the Prime Minister
briefed that the Government has already found
the best possible legal solution and is
poised to kick off a process
of transferring of land that
is located outside the boundaries
of a settlement into ownership of amalgamated territorial communities. According to the
Government decision, from February communities
will be vested
with the powers to regulate
all land matters.
