The diplomatic settlement of a conflict in the east of Ukraine is of utmost importance, says OSCE PA President
"The resolution
of the conflict
in the eastern
Ukraine by diplomatic means is vitally important",
claimed George Tsereteli, President of Parliamentary Assembly of the
Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe
during a meeting with Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze ,Vice Prime Minister
for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and
Sergiy Kyslytsya, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs
of Ukraine.
OSCE PA President stressed the visit to
Ukraine in these difficult times is not
accidental, because our country is
currently at the center of
the organization's attention. He noted
that the OSCE PA stands up for the territorial integrity of Ukraine and
condemns the Kremlin’s actions,that stance was repeatedly
enshrined in the resolutions adopted by the
OSCE. George Tsereteli expressed conviction that Russia should
bear responsibility for its actions.
The Vice Prime
Minister the role of the
OSCE PA in the consistent advocacy of positions on
complex but extremely essential issues both for
Ukraine and for the OSCE participating
states. She also thanked those
OSCE representatives who voted for resolutions
condemning the foreign aggression against Ukraine and for work
in the PA of the OSCE Special
Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, which
is an important
source of reliable and unbiased information.
